Waiting for Christ with Joyful Anticipation: Reflecting on Christ’s Love This Advent is meant to be read aloud every day as a family, just as you would open the door to a traditional Advent calendar. Each day we offer you a joyful Bible verse that speaks of the anticipation of Christ. We include a short reflection to help you ponder God’s words. We then highlight a special saint and explain how you can use that saint’s example to build a culture of life in your own homes and communities. Finally, we end with a fun activity you can do as a family that will help bring out the joy of the season.

Because we want this Advent booklet to fit into any Advent season, we created 28 days of reflections, as that is the maximum number of days in any Advent. For an Advent with a smaller number of days, simply omit the appropriate number of days, but end with the last entry for Christmas Eve.
